1. Service Scope

Scooped & Sorted operates solely as a pet waste pick-up service.
We provide on-site waste collection and hygiene maintenance only.
We do not remove, transport, or dispose of waste off-site under any circumstances.
All collected waste is double-bagged and placed in the customer’s general waste bin for council collection and disposal.

2. Access & Safety

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and unobstructed access to their property on the scheduled day of service.
If access is restricted (e.g., locked gates, aggressive animals, hazards), the service may be recorded as completed and charged in full.
Scooped & Sorted reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe or unsanitary.

3. Health & Hygiene Disclaimer

While every effort is made to provide a clean and hygienic environment, Scooped & Sorted cannot guarantee complete removal of all waste or odours, particularly in cases involving:

• Old, soft, or decomposed waste.

• Long grass, poor weather, or restricted visibility.

• Waste build-up prior to the first visit.

We use gloves, disinfectants, and sanitising procedures at each property. However, customers remain responsible for their own post-service hygiene practices and pet health management.

4. Waste Disposal Responsibility

All waste collected remains the responsibility of the customer once placed in their general waste bin.
Customers must ensure their waste bins comply with local council guidelines for collection and disposal.
Scooped & Sorted will not be held liable for council collection refusals, missed bin collections, or any associated charges.

5. Weather & Force Majeure

Services may be delayed or rescheduled due to extreme weather, staff shortages, vehicle issues, or other factors beyond our control.
All planned visits remain chargeable under such circumstances, as operational costs are still incurred.
We will always aim to reschedule at the next available opportunity.

6. Property Condition

Scooped & Sorted is not liable for damage to lawns, surfaces, or gardens resulting from pre-existing conditions, hidden hazards, or normal foot traffic during service.
Customers are advised to inform us of any delicate areas, hazards, or surface sensitivities before service begins.

7. Customer Responsibility

Customers agree to:

• Keep pets safely indoors during service.

• Provide accurate service information.

• Ensure their property is safe for entry and work.

Failure to comply may result in service suspension or termination without refund.

8. Liability Disclaimer

Scooped & Sorted will exercise all reasonable care during service.
However, we accept no liability for:

• Injury, illness, or allergic reactions caused by pet waste or environmental conditions.

• Damage caused by hidden hazards or unsafe access.

• Any indirect or consequential losses resulting from service delays, cancellations, or property conditions.
  Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the affected service.

9. Legal Compliance

Scooped & Sorted operates in accordance with UK environmental standards and the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
We do not act as or represent licensed waste carriers, and no waste is transported off-site.
